#1 Colwick Hall, Colwick
Colwick Hall, a grand Georgian country house, has got to be one of Nottingham’s most popular wedding venues, boasting over 60 acres of stunning gardens and countryside and catering for both large and small weddings (with facilities for up to 500 reception guests and 90 daytime ceremony guests), it ticks all the boxes for many couples.
Colwick Hall is a truly wonderful place to get married and will be sure to impress your guests, whilst there are plenty of photo opportunities in the picturesque setting.
Budget-wise, it is certainly more on the reasonable side for such an extravagant setting, with the venue offering a selection of packages where everything from food to decor is taken care of, with some options even including a complimentary stay in the Bridal Suite.
We have attended many weddings and even some birthday parties at Colwick Hall with our photo booths and we definitely rate it as one of Nottingham’s best wedding venues.

#3 Hazel Gap Barn
Hazel Gap Barn is a truly magical wedding venue, based in Nottinghamshire on the Welbeck Estate, it boasts beautiful gardens and woodlands whilst the reception room features stunning oak beams and plenty of natural light.
This red brick barn has been sympathetically restored to create the perfect wedding venue that suits both smaller intimate weddings as well as larger celebrations. Ceremonies at Hazel Gap Barn can accommodate up to 150 guests and receptions can have up to 250 guests.
Fairy lights and festoon lighting, as well as the chandelier nestled between stunning exsposed oak beams work to create a truly magical and rustic venue to celebrate your wedding.
Prices range from £2000 – £7500 which we think is certainly on the more reasonable side for such a stunning place to get married.

#3 The Nottingham Belfry by Marriott
The Nottingham Belfry is a 4* Hotel by Marriott, a hotel chain well-renowned throughout the world and one of the largest wedding venues locally.
There are many different packages available with options to provide your own catering as well as some which include exquisite food along with everything else. As mentioned, the Nottingham Belfry is one of the larger wedding venues on our list, with the biggest of their wedding rooms, the Admiralty Suite, catering for up to 550 guests for wedding breakfasts and 650 guests for wedding receptions.
Perfect for large celebrations, their packages also work well for many couples budget-wise, with an option to suit every budget and some particularly affordable packages available out of the peak times of July and August.
The Nottingham Belfry features 120 guest rooms and their packages include special discounts for wedding guests who choose to stay at the hotel, which is also easily accessible from the M1 making it a great venue for guests travelling from afar.

It features plenty of scenic landscapes and gardens to enjoy and capture beautiful photographs of the day and caters for wedding receptions with up to 220 guests.
As its name implies, The Nottingham Golf and Country Club features a large well-manicured golf course and is surrounded by 340 acres of countryside and landscaped gardens, making it perfect for those looking for a tranquil setting for their wedding celebrations.
Not only will this venue blow your wedding guests away with its stunning natural beauty, but the food is absolutely delicious, with many different menu options as well as the option to provide your own food.
This hotel sleeps up to 60 guests and includes a bridal suite (The Honeymoon Suite).

#5 The Walled Garden at Beeston Fields
If you dream of saying your vowels outdoors, surrounded by flowers and gardens in a truly unique and romantic setting, then The Walled Garden at Beeston Fields could be the wedding venue of your dreams.
With many options from outdoor weddings to marquee ceremonies (a great option to have if you opt for an outdoor wedding but get let down by the British weather on the day!), not only is this venue unique but the beautiful Victorian walled gardens provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos, full of charm and sophistication.
The three areas licensed for wedding ceremonies include The Loggia, a beautiful converted greenhouse surrounded by roses and flower beds, as well as The Bandstand which is perfectly placed for a 360-degree view of the gardens. The Marquee is also available and is not just a great backup location but is also popular as a first choice for many couples, overlooking the gardens and providing space for 200 guests.
We are always blown away by just how charming The Walled Garden is. This venue has been restored in recent years from what was once a Victorian garden, we think it is a truly magical place to get married.

#6 Goosedale
Set in 100 acres of beautifully manicured gardens and parkland in Papplewick, Nottingham, 17th-century wedding venue Goosedale offers a spectacular selection of wedding suites to suit both larger and more intimate celebrations. Additionally, there is the option to rent a marquee and the venue features many outdoor spaces with exquisite water features and pergolas which can be used for photos and wedding parties too.
Catering for up to 550 guests and offering several suites for exchanging vows, Goosedale is licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies.
Wedding suites for smaller parties include the Garden Room and Crystal Hall, whilst, for up to 550 guests, the glorious Ivory Suite is available.

#7 The Carriage Hall
The Carriage Hall is a delightful wedding venue located in Plumtree, Nottingham offering a perfect space for both larger and more intimate events. With its exposed brickwork and plenty of natural light, it’s certainly an impressive space to get married.
Dating back to the Victorian era, this lovingly restored railway building used to be home to the Plumtree Rail Station, providing a unique and mesmerising wedding location.
This licensed wedding venue is one of Nottingham’s most unique venues. Wedding accommodation includes 3 shepherd’s huts (one of which is the bridal suite) and can cater for up to 100 dining guests and 180 reception guests.

If you’re looking for a truly magnificent wedding venue with elegance and sophistication, Newstead Abbey in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire provides everything you could wish for.
Once the home of Lord Byron, writer of romantic poems, this stately home will blow you and your guests away with its 12th-century architecture featuring gothic arches, cloisters and idyllic grounds.
Both the interior and outdoor areas have the wow factor, providing photo opportunities from every angle as well as both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception options. #9 Hodsock Priory
Hodsock Priory is one of Nottinghamshire’s most luxurious wedding venues, a country house steeped in history and sat in the most beautiful manicured gardens, it is also perfect for more intimate weddings.
Well-known for its exceptional food menus and canapes, this glorious venue holds up to 120 guests and bookings provide use of the venue from 10:30am on the day of your wedding to 10:00am the following day.
The chefs at Hodsock are Michellin-star trained, so if food is a big part of your day, this might just be the venue for you.
We’ve always had a wonderful time attending weddings at Hodsock Priory with our photo booths, and always look forward to our next event here.
In terms of budget, the prices are on the higher side for weekend weddings held in the summer months, however, there are some very fairly-priced options available in the low season and on Monday – Thursday.
For those looking for a full-weekend wedding, there is also the option to have the venue for the whole weekend, for 3 days and including 17 bedrooms for two nights.

Swancarr Farm Country House is, as its name suggests, an opulent country house wedding venue dating from the 16th century and located in Trowell, which is a small countryside village in Nottinghamshire. This is a very in-demand wedding venue amongst our customers and bridges and grooms wishing to get married locally. It is not only a charming country house but has elegant features throughout, from exposed beams to crystal chandeliers, this is certainly a venue to choose if you’re looking for charm and sophistication for your big day.
As with every venue on our list, Swancarr Farm Country House is surrounded by perfectly manicured landscaped gardens and provides outdoor ceremony options for those planning an outdoor ceremony.
Not only is this venue perfect for summer weddings, but its log-burning fire and underfloor heating make it a great winter wedding venue too. Guests can enjoy views over the gardens or throw the doors open when the weather is warmer and enjoy both indoor and outdoor celebrations.
