On August 11th we had the pleasure of providing our Magic Mirror in Nottingham for a Caribbean-themed birthday party to celebrate an 11th birthday. We were super excited about this one as we had heard there would be some other local suppliers there with lots of fun attractions, so we knew it was going to be a great party.
On entrance, our first impression was “WOW”; it was a kid’s dream come true, the surf simulator supplied by Gedling Bouncy Castle Hire was set up to the left of the dance floor and really brought in the Caribbean theme of the party! There was also a disco with DJ (supplied again by Gedling Bouncy Castle Hire) which was set up across the stage surrounded by palm tree balloons. The party room décor was amazing with inflatables balls, a BBQ and non-alcoholic cocktails with umbrellas, which really brought the theme together.
It was great to work alongside another supplier and Gedling Bouncy Castles were super-efficient at the event and nothing was too much trouble for them. Colin and Molly the business owners were very approachable and extremely helpful throughout the evening. They helped the hosts’ daughter have a memorable party for both her and her friends to enjoy. The Disco set sounded great and the playlist catered for all ages too which went down very well.
We were placed in the far corner of the venue with our Magic Mirror Photo Booth next to the DJ and it went down a storm with both the kids and adults and was a welcomed addition to the party. Everyone loved the fact that they could come straight of the Surf Simulator and then go straight and have their pictures taken with their besties whilst in a crazy hat or glasses. We set up our green screen for this event and that turned the photo background into a Caribbean beach setting which was a very popular feature and tied in well with the theme of the event. The kids loved that they were able to sign their names on the photos using the on-screen signage feature.
